14 Days of Prayer

We are coming together as a church for a period of prayer to seek God. We are at a critical moment in the church’s history and we need time to discern and listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying, recognising that he’s already been speaking to us in many and diverse ways.

So, the leaders would like to invite everyone to join with them for a period of “14 Days of Prayer” at the beginning of December.

Why?

The question we are asking is “Does the Angel Centre provide the base that City Church requires to minister to the city of Worcester and if so, what could that look like?”

And we are all invited to join in the exciting journey.

What does it look like?

From 1st December for two weeks, as well as asking everybody to seek God during their own personal prayer times, there will be corporate times of prayer both in person and on zoom, and encouragement to pray when you get together with others in small groups or with friends.

What can I do?

There are many ways to join in and there are many ways to hear from God.

Pray - Along with praying in your personal prayer time, small group or corporate times, why not set a reminder alarm on your phone for a specific time each day.

Fast - this could be food, social media, TV or something else, to focus us as we press into God.

Hear - make space for listening. And when you hear from God, share it with others in prayer and send it into the office.

Prayer 1/2 hour

During the two weeks leading up to our period of prayer in December, Sue will be opening up the church zoom room on Monday mornings at 7am and Friday evenings at 7pm, for half an hour, to seek God together in prayer. (Dates are Mondays 18th and 25th at 7am, and Fridays 22nd and 29th at 7pm.) Everyone is welcome to join in with this - just turn up! Here's a link to the church zoom room. This will also continue into the 14 days of prayer.

You are also invited to join the leaders at 6.30am on Wednesday 27th November for half an hour, also in the church zoom room.

Praying Together

During the fortnight there will be opportunities to gather together most days. These will be at a various times of day to allow as many people to join as possible. They will either be on zoom (on the church zoom account) or at the Angel Centre.
